The new arts-based incubator will be housed at the former Northcote Police Station site at 43 James Street, Northcote. The building is located next to Northcote Town Hall and Civic Square, adjacent to High Street on Rucker’s Hill.
The area is well known as a hub of creativity, arts, live music and performance, with a high concentration of artists living in the area.
The facility has been refurbished to an excellent standard. The building will include 15 office spaces for start-up and growth businesses in the ‘creative and digital arts’ sector. The first ‘incubatee’ businesses will be accepted into the business incubation program mid July.
The facility will provide a range of services and resources in line with the highly successful DECL Business Incubator in Alphington, VIC.
